Fall 2012

The kids and I went with Jordin and our neighbors to Swore Farms to pick out our pumpkins.  We had a fun time riding the wagon to the pumpkin patch. 

Lucy was a witch, but a nice witch, as she said.  Sam was a zebra, which was ADORABLE!  Dillon was Indiana Jones and I was a clown.  We had fun at a ward party where we were in charge of decorating a room for kids to trick-or-treat at.  We made it a haunted sea and they stuck their hands in to get candy.  Pretty fun and easy.

When we were getting ready to build our house our builder lived behind us and his house was for sale.  I told him I wanted to interview everyone that was interested in buying his house.  I could not have picked better neighbors!  Grace and Miles are Lucy and Sam’s age and Isaac is a bit older, but plays great.  It was so perfect, Sam was the zebra and MIles a giraffe, without even coordinating!  We had a Halloween party at our house on Halloween and I was busy getting ready so Jenny (the neighbor) took my kids with them to trick-or-treat.  It was so fun for them and great for me to be able to get ready.

I was accepted to the Psychonomics Cognitive Psychology Conference again this year and it just happened to be held in Minneapolis so we were able to stay with and visit JD’s family.  Jessie and her fam also came up for a bit to visit.  We had so much fun, but it did start off a bit stressful as I left my poster (the whole reason I was going) in the car at the hotel in Salt Lake.  It was very nerve-wracking until I found a place to print for cheap and was set.  I took a pic to show everyone that I had the poster in hand.  Ashlynn took us to the Mall of America one day to play and to the zoo.  So Fun!

Lucy and Kevin are kindred spirits, as you can tell by their craziness.

I’ve also started a daycare.  I watch Kannon, Kash, (Tara’s boys) and Kyler (Gordon and Ashley’s son).  It gets a little crazy at times but the kids all have so much fun together!

On the first day of having everyone, Kannon, Kash, and Lucy were jumping off the bed and Sam decided to try it.  The result was a nasty cut and black eye.  It healed pretty quickly, but it was sure sad at the time!
